How the Charity stores your personal information

Your information is stored electronically in cloud storage. The Charity keeps your information for a period of up to 6 years for reference purposes in case you make a further application for help, and to enable the Charity to comply with legal and regulatory matters. The Charity then disposes of your information by deleting records which could identify you.

 

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

Your right of access – to ask the Charity for copies of your personal information.

Your right to correction – to ask the Charity to correct personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask the Charity to complete information you think is incomplete.

Your right of deletion – to ask the Charity to delete your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to restrict or object to processing – In certain circumstances the right to object to the use of your personal information or to ask the Charity to restrict how it is used.

Your right to the transfer of information – to ask that the Charity to transfer personal information you gave it to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, the Charity has one month to respond to you.
